Sunken River Barge Finally Removed!

The ongoing battle over the Basil Ryan Sunken Menomonee River Barge is finally over! Sort of.
Over the last two weeks, removal of the barge was finally completed. Yea! The Department of Natural Resources ordered Ryan to remove the barge in 2008 because it was impeding the navigable waterway.
However, the saga continues. After Ryan's appeal after appeal the case is now headed to the Wisconsin Supreme Court. The court's decision will ultimately rule on who is to pay for the barge's removal: Basil Ryan or the State.
