"Lifeguards" on Duty along Milwaukee River

On Thursday, May 19th we had three lifeguards stationed along the Milwaukee RiverWalk downtown, helping people envision a time when our rivers could once again be clean enough for swimming. Hundreds of people stopped by throughout the day to chat with our guards on the beautiful 60 degree day.
The campaign was part of our "A Clean River is Fun River Campaign," spearheaded by the advertising agency Thirsty Boy.
In April, the firm painted a river "waterslide" mural on wall near Schlitz Park on the Milwaukee River.
